Introducing The Truck Road & Standby
The J501 (Single phase) or J503 (Three phase) are cost-effective box body refrigeration systems available in both 12v & 24v for 7.5 tonne temperature controlled vehicles where overnight standby is required. Suitable for boxes up to 6m long, it allows you to carry more products by offering temperature control without an independent diesel drive unit. It is class leading in performance, lightweight with distinctive stylish looks.
A vehicle engine driven compressor powers the units. Compressor mount kits are available for a wide variety of vehicles. An in-cab controller with digital display monitors and controls the temperature and defrosting whilst providing a constant load space temperature readout. The stylish aerodynamic design utilises plastic covers for the condenser and the evaporator. A vehicle engine driven compressor powers the units on truck drive.
Features & Benefits
The J501 (Single Phase) and J503 (Three Phase) can operate as a chill or freeze system. Simply set the temperature you require and all functions are fully automatic.
The J501 and J503 unit has heat available if required. The controller simply has to be configured for this to be activated.
Approximately 165 KG installed. Much lighter than an independent diesel drive option.

Dual evaporator systems are used for fixed freeze/chill compartments with an evaporator for freeze section and a second evaporator for the chill section avoiding cross contamination of air from one compartment to another. Talk to a GAH applications specialist for assistance in selected these systems.
Whilst cooling the load space, moisture in the air collects on the evaporator coil. GAH chill units have an automatic, hourly off cycle defrost to keep the coils free of frost. GAH freeze units have hourly, automatic and fast reverse cycle defrost for closer temperature control which allows the unit to cool for more minutes per hour.

The J501 (Single phase) or J503 (Three Phase) is for frozen or chill applications where a full defrost is required. The standby can be specified as either single or three phase. The choice of model can be affected by the product to be carried and the number of door openings per working day, the mains supply available and the way the system is used. If in doubt, please talk to a GAH Applications specialist for clarification.

- Chilled ‘K’ Factor is 0.7 W/M²/°C
- Frozen ‘K’ Factor is 0.4 W/M²/°C
- Drop duration is 3-5 minutes
