Medium Panel Van Road & Standby
Introducing The Medium Panel Van Unit
The R300 range of refrigeration systems from GAH offers various options for operators requiring temperature control during the delivery of chilled or frozen goods in small to large suitably insulated panel vans. The R301 also has a single phase electric standby.
The stylish aerodynamic design utilises plastic covers for the condenser and evaporator. This flexible unit is ideal for most panel van applications.
A vehicle engine driven compressor powers the units on truck drive and a hermetically sealed, single phase rotary compressor is utilised for standby.
An in-cab controller with digital display monitors and controls the temperature and defrosting whilst providing a constant load space temperature readout.
Evaporator options are available. The slim roof single fan evaporator is standard, metal cubic is a no cost option and metal twin fan is a costed option.
Features & Benefits
Chill only models are easy to operate with off cycle defrost. Perfect for delivering chilled packaged goods. Chill with full defrost is also available using the "F" models set to chill temperatures.
Freeze models are easily set to the desired temperature down to -25°C. All functions are fully automatic.
Lightweight - approximately 91 kg installed with standby (Non-Standby approximately 65 kg)
Plastic slim single fan evaporator is supplied as standard. A single fan metal cubic evaporator is a no cost option A twin fan metal cubic evaporator is a costed option.
Single phase, hermetically sealed low noise and low maintenance.
All R300/301 systems with defrost can be programmed to run at a specific temperature for instance, set to 5°C and if the ambient is high the unit will cool down to 5°C but, if the ambient is low the unit will heat to 5°C.
Whilst cooling the load space, moisture in the air collects on the evaporator coil. GAH chill units have an automatic, hourly off cycle defrost to keep the coils free of frost. GAH freeze units have hourly, automatic and fast reverse cycle defrost for closer temperature control which allows the unit to cool for more minutes per hour.
Dual evaporator systems are used for fixed freeze/chill compartments with an evaporator for freeze section and a second evaporator for the chill section avoiding cross contamination of air from one compartment to another. Talk to a GAH applications specialist for assistance in selected these systems.

The R301C is a chill only system, the R301F is for frozen applications or chill applications where a full defrost is required. The choice can be affected by the product to be carried and the number of door openings per working day and the way the system is used. If in doubt, please talk to a GAH Applications specialist for clarification.
